Vainu

Nordic company data with registry-sourced profiles, contacts and trigger events

Overview

Vainu sells company data for the Nordic countries, built from official registries, website crawls and contact sources, with trigger events layered on top. Its G2 listing describes more than 5 million Nordic company profiles, and contact data sourced from registries and open online sources, with human-verified decision-maker records for Finland and Sweden. The public record is solid: 203 G2 reviews at 4.6, almost all of them four or five stars. Pricing is published per country database and per data package, from 250 euros a month on an annual licence, which is far below the 4,200 euros a year that G2 still shows.

The honest take

Where it breaks

It is a Nordic specialist, so the value drops quickly outside that region: a licence is one country database, and extra countries are priced on a call. Reviewers on G2 flag missing decision-maker contact details on smaller companies, which matters for outbound teams that need a verified email or a mobile for every account. And the price gap between the vendor page and G2 shows how much the packaging has moved, so budget from a fresh quote rather than a review.

The verdict

A credible choice when your accounts sit in Finland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark and you want registry-grade company data with trigger events at a published monthly price. It is not a general-purpose prospecting database: outside the Nordics, or when every account needs a verified direct contact, pair it with a broader contact tool and test the coverage on your own list before committing.

FAQ

How much does Vainu cost?

Vainu publishes three monthly prices on an annual licence, excluding VAT: Reach from 250 euros, Data Sync from 417 euros and Discover from 583 euros. Each licence covers one country database and one to two seats. Premium data adds 83 euros a month and Full data adds 167 euros. Extra countries, seats and connectors are priced on a call.

Why does G2 show a different price?

G2's listing, supplied by Vainu, still shows Nordic Team from 4,200 euros a year and Nordic Business from 9,900 euros a year. The vainu.com pricing page now shows the Reach, Data Sync and Discover grid, which starts lower. Third-party reviews quote a mix of both, so read the vendor page on the day you buy.

Does Vainu include contact data?

Yes, in the Basic data package: registry, crawl and contact data. G2 says that for Finland and Sweden it adds human-verified decision-maker records. Some G2 reviewers still report missing contact details for decision-makers, so test it on your own target list.

Which countries does it cover?

The product is built around the Nordic countries. A licence includes one country database, and additional countries are quoted separately. For the UK, DACH or the US you will want a broader provider.

Is 4.6 on G2 a reliable signal?

It rests on 203 reviews, of which 164 give five stars and 38 four stars. It is a real base, though G2 notes few recent reviews, and the reviewers are mostly small businesses.
