Airscale

List building and waterfall enrichment on rollover credits, from $49/mo

Overview

Airscale is a list-building and enrichment workbench in the Clay family. You start a table from its own Leads finder, a Sales Navigator search, a company search, a hiring-signal search or a CSV, then enrich the rows through a waterfall that queries several providers in order and charges only when a valid email or mobile number comes back. Results go out as a CSV or straight into HubSpot, Smartlead, lemlist or Instantly, and an MCP server lets Claude or Codex run searches and enrichments directly. Two things set it apart from the bigger names: the entry price, $49 for 4,000 credits, and the fact that every plan has unlimited seats and credits that never expire. We run it ourselves as the sourcing stage of our outbound, which is what the notes below are based on.

Who it's for

  • →Small outbound teams and founders who want Clay-style tables and a waterfall without Clay's entry price
  • →Agencies that share one workspace across several people: seats are unlimited on every plan
  • →Teams with irregular volume, since unused credits roll over instead of expiring at month end
  • →Operators who export a list, sort it against their ICP themselves and only then pay for emails

Not for

Buyers who need independent reviews before signing: its G2 profile had none in October 2026 · Teams that expect a keyword search to return a clean, send-ready list without a manual pass · Phone-first teams on the small plans, where a mobile costs 40 credits, about $0.49 on Starter · Stacks that need many native integrations: HubSpot and three sequencers are listed, the rest goes through CSV or the API

Capabilities

  • Leads finder: people search filtered by keywords in the company profile, company size, headquarters and seniority, loaded into a table
  • Sales Navigator search results as a list source
  • Company finder, plus a search for companies hiring for specific positions
  • Waterfall email finder: 2 credits per valid email, nothing charged on a miss according to the API documentation
  • Waterfall mobile finder across 15 phone providers: 40 credits per number found
  • Email verification at 0.5 credit per request
  • AI research agent (Airsearch) and AI columns for cleaning, formatting and copy
  • Exports to HubSpot, Smartlead, lemlist and Instantly, and CSV export of any table
  • API, and an MCP server to search and enrich from Claude or Codex
  • Unlimited seats and credit rollover on every plan

Our advice

The table and the CSV export are where the value was for us; the enrichment is where you watch the bill and the data. Sort first, enrich second: a keyword search returns plenty of companies outside the target, and paying two credits an email on rows you will throw away is the expensive way to find that out.

How we run it

We run Airscale as the sourcing stage of our own outbound, not as our main email finder. The workflow is the Leads finder: keywords in the company profile plus size and headquarters filters, preview, load the result into a table, export the CSV, then sort every company against the campaign's ICP before spending anything on enrichment. Over three days in early October 2026 we ran around twenty exports this way, and roughly 1,300 of the exported profiles ended up as campaign leads after sorting: about one lead for every 12 to 30 profiles, depending on the keyword. Keywords that name a trade (an agency type, 'interior architecture') sorted far better than keywords that name a service.

The honest take

Where it breaks

On precision, not on price. In our own use, a keyword search on company profiles is raw material: on our lists, around four companies in ten came back outside the target, and on one enriched batch roughly one email in eight belonged to a previous employer of the person, so we read every company and check the email's domain against the company name before loading anything. The cheap headline prices need reading too: $0.008 per email and $0.15 per mobile are custom Scale rates, while a mobile on Starter costs 40 credits, about $0.49. We also met a few operating limits in October 2026: exports above roughly 1,500 rows are queued for a few minutes, and the app capped us at seven table imports per three-hour window. The people-search API we used in summer 2026 filtered on seniority but silently ignored job-title parameters, so title sorting happened on our side; check that before building on it. Finally, there is no independent review base yet, so the provider counts and customer numbers on the site are claims you cannot verify from outside.

The verdict

For a small outbound team that wants Clay-style list building and a waterfall without Clay's price or seat math, Airscale is a credible, cheaper workbench: $49 buys 4,000 credits that never expire, with unlimited seats. We use it for sourcing and it earns its place there. Treat the search results as raw material rather than a finished list, sort before you enrich, and test the email and mobile hit rates on a few hundred of your own rows before you size a plan.

FAQ

How much does Airscale cost?

Three published plans, billed monthly: Starter at $49 for 4,000 credits, Pro at $99 for 12,000 and Growth at $189 for 25,000. Scale is custom. Every plan includes unlimited seats, and unused credits roll over. There is a 14-day free trial.

How many credits does an email or a phone number cost on Airscale?

According to Airscale's API documentation, a valid email costs 2 credits and a lookup that finds nothing is not charged; a mobile number costs 40 credits, again only when one is found, and an email verification 0.5. On Starter that works out to about $0.025 per email and $0.49 per mobile, falling to about $0.015 and $0.30 on Growth. The $0.008 per email and $0.15 per mobile shown on the site are the custom Scale rates.

Do Airscale credits expire?

No. The site states that unused credits never expire and roll over from month to month, on every plan. That is unusual in a category where most credit plans reset monthly.

Does Airscale have reviews?

Not on G2 at the time of writing: its G2 profile exists but showed no review on October 5, 2026. We publish a market rating only when a tool has two independent review platforms or at least fifty reviews, so this page carries none. The customer count and provider numbers on Airscale's site are the vendor's own figures.

Is Airscale a Clay alternative?

In shape, yes: a table of leads, columns that enrich each row, and a waterfall across data providers. Clay goes further on automation, AI research and the number of integrations, and costs more to start, $185 a month against $49. Airscale covers the common case, building a list and getting emails and mobiles on it, with less to learn.

What are the best Airscale alternatives?

Clay if you need the deepest workflow builder and the widest provider catalogue. BetterContact if you only want the waterfall on a list you already have, billed on valid hits. Persana if you want AI prospecting agents on top of the enrichment.
