Lead Forensics

Lead Forensics

B2B website visitor identification, priced on your traffic

Overview

Lead Forensics identifies the companies visiting your website, alerts you as they arrive, and attaches decision-maker contact details so sales can follow up. It is one of the oldest and most reviewed products in the category, with over 1,100 G2 reviews, and it sells the way enterprise software sells: a demo, a trial, then a package priced on your visitor volume with unlimited users. Reviewers praise the ease of use, the lead flow and the support; the recurring complaints are about data quality — contacts that are outdated or wrong, and identified companies that turn out not to be leads.

Who it's for

  • B2B sites with enough traffic that anonymous visits are a real loss
  • Sales teams that will actually work an alert the day it lands
  • Marketing teams needing to prove which accounts their spend brings in
  • Companies wanting unlimited users rather than per-seat licensing

Not for

Low-traffic sites where identification volume will not justify the package · Teams wanting a published price or a self-serve plan · Buyers needing person-level identification rather than company-level · Anyone expecting the contact details to be outbound-ready without verification

Capabilities

  • Company-level identification of website visitors
  • Real-time visit alerts and lead routing
  • Decision-maker contact details on identified accounts
  • Reporting on which pages and campaigns bring which accounts
  • CRM integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, Pipedrive, Zoho
  • Unlimited users on the package

The honest take

Where it breaks

It breaks on the follow-up, not the identification. The product delivers a stream of companies and contacts; if nobody works the alerts the same day, it becomes an expensive dashboard. Data quality is the other limit — reviewers repeatedly flag outdated and incorrect contacts — and the absence of any public price makes it hard to compare against the self-serve tools in the category without a sales cycle.

The verdict

The most established name in visitor identification, with a review base nothing else in the category matches, and a genuinely useful alert-to-follow-up loop when a sales team is ready to work it. Buy it if your traffic is substantial and someone owns the follow-up; if you want to test the idea first, start with a tool that publishes its price and prove the motion before committing to a quoted package.

FAQ

How much does Lead Forensics cost?

There is no published price. Their own page says pricing is calculated on your website visitor volume, and the route is a demo, then a free trial, then a package. Expect an annual commitment.

Does it identify people or companies?

Companies. It resolves the visit to an organisation and then offers contact details for decision makers there — it does not tell you which individual browsed your pricing page.

Is the contact data good enough to email directly?

Verify it first. The most frequent complaints in its reviews are outdated or incorrect contacts, which is normal for bundled contact data and is why we run a verifier over anything before it enters a sequence.

How is it different from Leadfeeder or Albacross?

Same job, different commercial posture: Leadfeeder and Albacross publish entry prices and start small, Lead Forensics quotes on traffic and sells a package with unlimited users. Below a certain traffic level the self-serve options are easier to justify.

Will it work on a low-traffic site?

Mechanically yes, commercially rarely. If you get a few hundred B2B visits a month, the number of identified accounts worth calling will not carry an enterprise package.
