FullContact vs BookYourData
One cleans up the records you already have, the other sells you records you do not. They show up on the same shortlist and solve opposite problems.

Quick answer
FullContact is identity resolution: give it fragments — an email, a cookie, a partial profile — and it ties them to one person, then enriches that identity. There is no prospecting search and no public price. BookYourData is the other direction: a pay-as-you-go B2B contact database where you buy credits, filter a list and export it, with prices on the page. Pick FullContact if your customer file is a mess. Pick BookYourData if your problem is that you have no list at all.

Pick FullContact if
- You hold first-party customer data that needs deduplicating and enriching
- Marketing and adtech need one persistent identity per person
- Your team consumes an API rather than exporting CSVs
Where it breaks. It is bought by the wrong teams more often than it fails. Outbound teams arrive expecting a database and find an identity graph with no prospecting interface, no published price and an API-shaped workflow. Its value depends entirely on the quality of the first-party data you bring it: with a thin customer file, there is nothing to resolve.
Full FullContact review →Pick BookYourData if
- You need contacts you do not have yet, today, without a sales call
- You would rather buy credits than commit to a subscription
- You want the price written on the page before you talk to anyone
Where it breaks. The pay-as-you-go pricing that looks cheap for small orders becomes costly at high volume, and several reviewers report data quality degrading on very large bulk pulls. Phone coverage is also thin, so calling-first teams will hit gaps.
Full BookYourData review →Our take. If these two are genuinely both on your list, the shortlist is the problem. Outbound teams almost always want BookYourData or another database, and they end up looking at FullContact because the word enrichment appears in both descriptions. FullContact earns its keep when you already own a large customer file and the same person exists four times in it — a martech problem, with a martech price tag and a sales cycle to match. One caveat that applies to any pay-as-you-go list: buying contacts is not the hard part of outbound, and a credit pack will not tell you whether those people want to hear from you.
Frequently asked questions
Can FullContact build me a prospecting list?
No. There is no search interface to prospect with: it works on identities you bring it. For list building you want a database.
Does BookYourData require a subscription?
No, that is its main argument. You buy credit packs, published on the page, and they do not force a monthly commitment.
Which one has a public price?
BookYourData. FullContact's pricing page now redirects to a contact form, so every plan is quoted.
I have a messy CRM and no list. What then?
Two purchases, and they are not urgent in the same way. Get the list moving first with a database, and treat identity resolution as the cleanup project it is — it is worth doing when the customer file is large enough to be confusing.
Still torn between the two?
We run outbound stacks for B2B teams and pick tools by what they cost per result, not by the pitch.
