Dux-Soup

Dux-Soup

Veteran browser-based LinkedIn automation

Overview

Dux-Soup is one of the longest-running LinkedIn automation tools, delivered mainly as a Chrome extension that auto-visits profiles, sends connection requests, and runs drip message campaigns from your own account. Because the original product runs inside your browser, it acts on LinkedIn exactly as you would, which keeps it flexible but ties activity to LinkedIn's terms of service and the usual automation-detection risk. A cloud tier removes the need to keep the browser open. We analyzed Dux-Soup's public pricing and product material rather than operating it.

Who it's for

  • Solo founders and freelancers running their own LinkedIn outreach
  • Small sales teams wanting a low-cost entry into LinkedIn automation
  • Recruiters sourcing and messaging candidates at volume
  • Agencies managing outreach across multiple client LinkedIn accounts

Not for

Risk-averse teams uncomfortable with LinkedIn ToS and account-ban exposure · Enterprises needing SOC 2-grade controls and centralized governance · Multi-channel programs wanting email and LinkedIn in one orchestration layer · Operators who want hands-off cloud automation without browser dependency on the lower tiers

Capabilities

  • Automated connection requests with personalized templates

The honest take

Where it breaks

The lower tiers run inside your own browser, so automation only progresses while the extension is active and you are logged in, and all activity happens directly from your LinkedIn account, which concentrates ban risk on you. Cloud plans ease the always-on requirement but do not remove the underlying terms-of-service exposure.

The verdict

Dux-Soup is a credible, affordable entry point for individuals, recruiters, and agencies who want straightforward LinkedIn automation and can manage volume sensibly. Teams that need multi-channel orchestration, enterprise governance, or a lower-risk posture should weigh cloud-native or compliance-focused alternatives before committing.

FAQ

Is Dux-Soup a browser extension or a cloud tool?

Both. The core Pro and Turbo plans run as a Chrome extension on your machine, while the Cloud plans run the automation in the cloud so you don't need to keep your browser open.

Does using Dux-Soup risk my LinkedIn account?

Any LinkedIn automation carries some risk because it operates against LinkedIn's terms of service. Dux-Soup exposes activity limits and safety settings, but the responsibility for staying within reasonable daily volumes sits with you.

How much does Dux-Soup cost?

Individual plans start at $14.99/mo for Pro Dux, $55/mo for Turbo Dux, and $99/mo for Cloud Dux, with per-seat Team plans and a Cloud Agency plan at $371/mo. Annual billing is roughly 20% cheaper.

Can Dux-Soup do email outreach too?

Dux-Soup is focused on LinkedIn. It can extract profile data and integrate with other tools and CRMs, but it is not a native multi-channel email-plus-LinkedIn sequencer.

Is it suitable for agencies?

Yes. The Cloud Agency plan is built for running outreach across multiple client accounts, with a 5-seat minimum and metered billing above that.
