Kickbox vs Reoon Email Verifier

The premium verifier against the cheapest serious one. The check they run is the same; what surrounds it is not.

Quick answer

Kickbox is built for marketing and ops teams that have to justify a vendor: SOC 2, GDPR, US and EU infrastructure, a quality score per address and native connections to Mailchimp, HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo and Braze. A hundred thousand verifications cost $500. Reoon verifies the same hundred thousand for $116.40 in a one-off pack, has a free tier that renews daily, and stops at verification. Pick Kickbox if data residency or a marketing-platform integration is a requirement. Pick Reoon if you are cleaning cold lists and the unit price matters.

Pick Kickbox if

  • EU data residency or SOC 2 is a hard requirement
  • The list lives in Mailchimp, Marketo, Klaviyo or Braze
  • You want a quality score per address, not just a status

Where it breaks. As a finder or sender — it's neither. It verifies the list you bring. And on price: the top complaint is cost at volume, so budget-led teams without compliance needs often pick a cheaper PAYG verifier.

Pick Reoon Email Verifier if

  • You clean large cold lists on a tight budget
  • You want a free tier that renews daily
  • An API and a CSV upload are all you need

Where it breaks. Reoon is verification only, so teams expecting deliverability monitoring, inbox placement, or hands-on support will hit its limits, and support is email-only and reportedly slow when issues arise.

Our take. Both refund the addresses they cannot judge, both expose an API, and both carry a public record you can read: 605 reviews at 4.5 for Kickbox, more than a thousand at 4.8 for Reoon. So the price gap, roughly four to one at a hundred thousand addresses, is not buying accuracy you can see in reviews. It is buying what a marketing organisation needs around the check: certification, EU infrastructure, integrations with the platforms where the list lives, and US and EU support. If none of those is on your requirements list, the gap is hard to defend, and Kickbox's own reviewers say so: cost at volume is its top complaint. If one of them is, Reoon is not a substitute, however cheap. We have tested Kickbox and run neither in production.

Frequently asked questions

Is Reoon as accurate as Kickbox?

Public reviews do not show a gap: Reoon averages 4.8 and Kickbox 4.5 on G2. Reviews measure satisfaction, not accuracy, so run both on a sample whose status you know.

Why is Kickbox more expensive?

It sells compliance, EU infrastructure and marketing integrations along with the check. Whether that is worth four times the price depends on whether anyone will ask you for them.

Do both refund unknown results?

Yes. Kickbox always refunds unknowns; Reoon refunds unknown and inconclusive results.

Which has a free plan?

Both. Kickbox gives 100 free verifications. Reoon's free tier renews at about 20 credits a day, around 600 a month, with API access.
