Clearout vs Reoon Email Verifier

Two verifiers, one job. Reoon wins on price by a wide margin; Clearout answers the questions a security review asks.

Quick answer

Reoon is the near-zero-cost option: a lifetime free tier of about 20 credits a day, 500 verifications a day for $9 a month, and one-off packs from $11.90 for 10,000 that never expire. Clearout costs more, $19.50 a month for 3,000 credits, and brings what Reoon does not advertise: ISO and SOC 2 Type II certification, CRM and ESP integrations and a light email finder. Pick Reoon if volume and price decide. Pick Clearout if a compliance questionnaire or a native integration does.

Pick Clearout if

  • Your buyer or your client asks for ISO or SOC 2 Type II
  • You want native connections to HubSpot, Salesforce or Mailchimp
  • You want a small email finder in the same tool

Where it breaks. As a sender — it isn't one. Its email finder is light next to dedicated finders. And the credit system is the recurring friction point: limited credits and cost on larger lists are the top complaints.

Pick Reoon Email Verifier if

  • You clean large lists and the unit price decides
  • A free tier that renews every day covers your volume
  • You only need an API and a result

Where it breaks. Reoon is verification only, so teams expecting deliverability monitoring, inbox placement, or hands-on support will hit its limits, and support is email-only and reportedly slow when issues arise.

Our take. On cost alone this is not close, and for a cold outbound team verifying its own lists, Reoon's price and its thousand-plus reviews at 4.8 make it the rational default. What you give up is everything around the check: support is by email and reported as slow, there is no placement testing or blacklist monitoring, and its product page states GDPR compliance but no SOC 2 or ISO certification to hand to a client's security team. Clearout is what you buy when the verifier has to pass a vendor review or plug into a CRM without code. We run neither in production; our finders return verified emails. If you are unsure, the cheap test is to run the same hundred addresses through both free tiers and compare what each calls catch-all or unknown, because that is where verifiers actually differ.

Frequently asked questions

How much cheaper is Reoon?

At list price, Reoon's 10,000-credit pack costs $11.90 and never expires; Clearout's 10,000-credit plan is $40 a month. Reoon's $9 subscription gives 500 credits a day.

Is Reoon accurate enough?

Its public record is strong: 4.8 across more than a thousand G2 reviews. We have not operated it, so test it on addresses whose status you already know.

Does Clearout have a free plan?

100 credits on signup that never expire. Reoon's free tier renews daily, roughly 600 verifications a month, with API access.

Which one for an agency?

Reoon if you verify many client lists and pass the cost through. Clearout if clients ask about certification before they let you touch their data.

Still torn between the two?

We run outbound stacks for B2B teams and pick tools by what they cost per result, not by the pitch.
